Attorney Sybil Y Sivic has practiced law since 1996. Ms. Sivic was born and raised in the rural community of Slickville, Pennsylvania located east of Pittsburgh. She obtained a BS in Legal Studies from Point Park College in 1991 while working full time in the newly established legal department of Pitsburgh Corning Corporation where she was involved in the defense of mass tort claims in the early absentos litigation nationwide. During her six-year employment, she was a key player in the unprecedented counsel-sharing agreement between three major companies and handled negotiations through Alterntive Dispute Resolutions in the Federal Courts.



Ms. Sivic relocated to Ocala, Florida to attend the University of Florida College of Law and obtained her J.D. in December, 1995. After admission to the Florida Bar, Sybil worked for a firm in Lakeland, Florida handling personal injury and motorcycle accident litigation.

She returned to her Ocala home in 1997, where she has continually resided, practiced law and has been a member of the Marion County Bar Association. Ms. Sivic became a partner in a local firm in 1999 and then opened her own law firm, The Sivic Law Firm, P.A., in 2007. This general practice firm handles civil, family and criminal law cases.


Brenda J. Hayes

Brenda J. Hayes was born in Miami, Florida and attended Miami Dade College.  She relocated to Ocala, Florida in 1990, where she has resided with he spouse, four children and currently has eight grandchildren.  She is active in her family's schools and their extracurricular activities.

Brenda J. Hayes is a Florida Registered Paralegal and Notary Public.  She has been in the legal field since 1988 starting as a receptionist for a family law attorney who taught her how to research case law, prepare pleadings and assist with trials.  Ms. Hayes has extensive experience in family law and also has been employed by the Public Defender's Office, and has worked for other firms in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury, civil litigation, criminal law and probate.  Brenda has been affiliated with Ms. Sivic since 2002 at her previous law firm and with her solo practice from its inception
